Things to Do

Most people who visit the Couderay area, the Chippewa Flowage, and the rest of Sawyer County are "getting away from it all." Whether you like to fish, hunt, camp or hike, this part of Wisconsin has some of the state's most-beautiful woods and lakes. There are many other things to do, of course.

National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame

What else would you put inside a 40-foot-high, 140-foot-long building shaped like a Musky?

Pioneer Village Museum
Cameron
This 36-building village includes a country school, a newspaper office, a general store, a blacksmith shop, a doctor's office and more.

Railroad Memories Museum

A museum that is itself more than 100 years old, celebrates the railroad industry that was once a large part of Spooner and northwestern Wisconsin.

Washburn County Historical Museum
Shell Lake
A unique museum that includes a church, a schoolhouse and a building used to spot enemy aircraft during WWII, the Washburn County Historical Museum covers all aspects of county history.
